clossed system

"minds eye"
It seems that religions, in their various modern associative groupings
such as "Christian", "Muslim", etc., have a commonality of paradigm
that, like the works of Heidegger and Bob Dylan, seem to be so obvious
and yet, telling in their unlike counterparts in the scientific
attempts to encapsulate nature as a system.

I am referring to a system that is closed, in the sense that humans
are not a subset of the whole. Closed to human involvement with the
Universe. The part where we come in. The "we" in "This is how we
understand the world to be." There is, to my knowledge, no religion,
no spirituality, no concept of a totality of existence in which humans
and their various trivial needs, wants and dining habits are not
somehow included.

In science, we have various paradigms, much like our other current
thread about String Theory*, that have nothing to do with explaining
humans or the "why" of what is. The math of the universe doesn't care
about whether Quality exists. The thermodynamics that explain
astronomical phenomena, independently confirmed by repeated
observation and prediction, do not care about the moral compass.

I am interested to hear your thoughts on the possibility of a 'closed'
spiritual system, one that can exist independently of humans. Or at
least independently of local UHF television programming.

THE AFRICAN CONTINENT

BLIND AFRICANS
Africans have a major problem and challenges facing them that is why they are the way we are of course i inclusive. i have been observing and looking to my fellow africans and i have realised one problem that is they dont think. infact they want other people to think on their behalf. for instance we have nothing that us africans we have invented that will make us to be proud and bring income to our people to be proud of themselves. example in technology we import things that have been manufactured outside africa assemble them then call them ours and that is development. we are blinded i dont know when we shall wake up from this nightmare of backwardness to a developed minds that are able to see the future.

In the side of agriculture most of the african countries have fertile soils which they dont want to use it is only they want white collar jobs. They dont want to understand that countries like Britain started from agriculture and prospered to the level they are now. My cry is "when are we goiong to wake up" stop begging and start producing to help others who dont have soil like us. imagine thosr countries who are supposed to beg from us they are the ones producing and helping us

For instance Kenya my country am not ashamed to criticise of what they are doing. a country with good climate with fertile soil but people in some places are dying because of hunger i real wonder. Even the government has not done anything to make sure that its subjects are well protected and have enough to eat for they are the ones providing for those leaders the best houses and expensive vehicles they are driving. Not even one of them can spare some coins to help the ones that are facing problems kenya is "a man eating man society" when shall we have leaders with a vision who are not concerned with their stomachs alone.
GOD GAVE US THE BRAINS TO THINK AND PRODUCE BUT WE ARE NOT USING THEM WE ARE WAITING FOR MANNER LIKE THE TIME OF THE ISRAELITES WHICH CANNOT HAPPEN.

TAKE TIME THINK AND WORK TO PROSPER

Girls are also important

Do Girls Need Fathers?
  • Girls who are close to their fathers exhibit less anxiety and withdrawn behaviors.

  • Daughters who perceive that their fathers care a lot about them, and who feel connected to their fathers, have significantly fewer suicide attempts and fewer instances of body dissatisfaction, depression, low self-esteem, substance use and unhealthy weight.

  • Girls with involved fathers are twice as likely to stay in school.

  • Girls with fathers who are involved in their lives have higher quantitative and verbal skills and higher intellectual functioning.

  • Girls whose parents divorce or separate before they turn twenty-one tend to have shorter life spans by four years.

  • Girls with good fathers are less likely to flaunt themselves to seek male attention.

  • Girls with involved fathers wait longer to become sexually active and have lower rates of teen pregnancy.

  • Seventy-six percent of teen girls said fathers influenced their decisions on whether they should become sexually active.

  • A daughter from a middle-class family has a five-fold lower risk of out-of-wedlock pregnancy if her father lives at home.

  • Girls who lived with their mothers and fathers have significantly fewer growth and developmental delays, and fewer learning disorders, emotional disabilities and behavior problems.

  • Girls who live apart from their fathers have significantly less ability to control impulses and delay gratification, and have a weaker sense of right and wrong.

Do Boys Need Fathers?
  • The National Center for Children in Poverty reports that fatherless boys are twice as likely to drop out of school or go to jail, and nearly four times as likely to need treatment for emotional and behavioral problems.

  • Dr. William Pollock, Harvard psychologist and author of Real Boys, says divorce is difficult for children of both sexes, but is devastating for boys. He says the basic problem is the lack of discipline and supervision in the father’s absence, and his unavailability to teach what it means to be a man. Pollock also believes fathers are crucial in helping boys to manage their emotions.

  • Don Elium, author of Raising a Son, says that with troubled boys, the common theme is distant, uninvolved fathers.

  • Prisons are populated primarily by men who were abandoned or rejected by their fathers. Bill Glass, a dedicated evangelist who counseled almost every weekend for 25 years with men who were incarcerated, says that among the thousands of prisoners he had met, not one of them genuinely loved his dad. Ninety-five percent of those on death row hated their fathers.

Dreams

Dreams

For God does speak -- now one way, now another -- though man may not perceive it. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men as they slumber in their beds, he may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings, to turn man from wrongdoing and keep him from pride, to preserve his soul from the pit, his life from perishing by the sword.
(NIV) Job 33:14-18 Holy Bible

Did you know that?

Elias Howe, the inventor of the modern sewing machine, credited his invention to a dream.

Niels Bohr, a noble prize winner claimed he had seen the structure of the atom in a dream.

Ever Get Discouraged?

Introduce division and strife among the churches and they'll invent something like promise-keepers or these new City wide Worship Events and restore a sense of unity. Divide them and they multiply; create strive and they make peace.

And they've got money - lots of money! They give Billions every week! That's B as in Billions, and W as in every week. Christianity is the largest single economic enterprise in the world, dwarfing pip-squeak outfits like General motors. Millions of them give 10% of their income every week. It adds up! Just think if non-believers were that committed.

And they support a zillion different enterprises: Colleges and universities to train millions of their youth, radio programs up and down the dial - even entire radio stations now, and they sponsor TV programs, bookstores, publishing houses, seminars, training programs, and even have their own full line Christian music. I tell you, its discouraging for us non-believers at times.

As soon as our side gets hold of a new medium, Christians come running along second and swamp us with their Christian message. Look what they did with books, and radio, and TV. My goodness, who knows what they'll do on the Internet!

We do have one advantage. Christians are easy to get off track. But the discouraging thing is, once we've got them sidetracked, a whole new wave comes along and gets the church back on track -- its as if there is an invisible spirit of some sort correcting and guiding them. It's discouraging, I tell you!

How do we crush these Christians out of existence? It's hard to do, I tell you. Rome couldn't do it. The dark ages didn't do it. State religion didn't do it. Darwin couldn't either. Rationalism couldn't. Neither could liberalism, communism, socialism, democracy, nor even modernity. You can't tax them into oblivion, or legislate them out of existence. And if you ignore them, they won't go away. I tell you they're hard to beat!

Divide them and they'll unify, beat them down and they pop back up. Create strife and they make peace. Criticize them and they listen with a smile, hate them and they love you back. Take their coat and they'll give you their cloak too. Persecute them and they'll multiply, arrest them and they witness to you, beat them and they sing, kill them and they simply go to heaven! I tell you, you can't beat them!
